At Chitter Chatter Speech Co., we provide high-quality, concierge speech and language services designed to meet children where they are and help them thrive.

Our therapeutic team is led by a seasoned Speech-Language Pathologist Supervisor with over 20 years of clinical experience working with children of all ages. She is also a former ESE Coordinator and brings years of quality care to our team, ensuring expert oversight and exceptional care across every service we provide.

Our Academic Director brings over 15 years of experience in K-12 education, including 7 years as a former K-5 Special Education Coordinator, offering deep expertise in IEP development, school-based evaluations, and the eligibility process. Additionally, at this time, each of our educational advocates are former ESE Coordinators for Palm Beach County. This unique combination of professionals allow us to seamlessly bridge the gap between clinical therapy and academic success.

It’s really hard to understand my child. Does my child need speech therapy?

How does speech and language therapy work?

A speech-language pathologist (SLP) works with your child through engaging activities, games, and exercises tailored to their needs. Therapy can focus on improving speech clarity, expanding vocabulary, building sentences, and enhancing social communication skills.

How long does therapy usually take?

It depends on the child and their needs. Some children make progress in a few months, while others may benefit from ongoing support. The therapist will regularly assess progress and adjust goals as needed. Daily sessions can be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the level of need for your child’s unique needs

What can I do at home to support my child’s communication development?

Talking, reading, and playing with your child daily helps build their skills! Encourage conversation, model correct speech, expand on what they say, and create a language-rich environment. A licensed therapist can also provide specific activities to practice at home.

How can I get my child evaluated for speech and language delays at school?

You can start by reaching out to your child’s teacher, school counselor, principal, or ESE coordinator to express your concerns. They can guide you through the process of formally requesting an evaluation. There are state and district guidelines that schools have to adhere to. Does my child’s school provide speech therapy, or do I need to seek private services?

Public schools offer speech therapy services for children who qualify, usually through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). However, some families choose private therapy for more personalized or frequent sessions. Additionally, private therapy sessions occur one-on-one. Group sessions often contain multiple students with a variety of goals making therapy sessions less effective than personalized and individual support.
